Farm To Kitchen
Half a year of growth: The long pepper plant takes about 6 months to mature. During this time, flower spikes emerge.
Picking at the peak: When the flower spikes turn blackish-green and are bursting with flavor, farmers carefully handpick them. This ensures the best quality and protects the vine.
Sunbathing for days: The harvested spikes are laid out on mats and spend 4-5 days drying in the warm sun. They are turned regularly to make sure they dry evenly.
Clean and sort: Finally, the dried long pepper is cleaned one last time. Our farmers sort them based on size and quality before they are ready to be used or shipped off.
